Here we see lovable rogue Bernie Clifton on his world famous ostrich. One of the most stunning and clever uses of false legs (or any limb for that matter) that you will ever see.

Carolgees and Spit >
Here we see light entertainer and TV advert and voice over star Bob Carolgees (real name: Robert Johnston) with his filthy dog puppet, Spit.
The whole basis of the act would be Bob talking about something inane whilst Spit the dog spat in his eye.
Unfortunately, the false hand is just out of view here.

Another of Bob and Spit, again the false hand is just out of picture (if you look closely, you can just about make out the knuckle of one finger). Maybe this is deliberate, as the prosthetic in question is quite shit.
By the way, if his real name is Johnston, where did the Carolgees come from? Seems mighty peculiar.

Yay! At last we see the hand! If you look closely, you will see the putrid-grey, found in a skip, totally fake looking hand underneath Spit the dog (Carolgees is far right).
This was from the popular 70's and early 80's filthy, degraded kids show Tiswas, where Carolgees made his name, which also starred a young hippy looking Chris Tarrant (left of Bob). He he |

We have no idea who this person is, but his Jeremy Beadle fancy dress costume is a classic. Note the excellent use of a dolls arm to simulate the stubby, deformed fingers of the cheeky prankster himself. |
